Barton International Group has been keeping busy the past few months. We have had the pleasure of listening to several guest speakers. The opportunity to learn from their experiences was highly appreciated. These individuals included Ulises Gonzalez from W, Sandra Jessop from Airxcel, Felipe Lopez from Koch Business Solutions, and Jacob Archer, past Barton International Group CEO.
Eighteen employees are preparing to travel to Beijing and Shanghai this May to visit well-known businesses and famous tourist attractions. They are currently learning about Chinese culture and traditions so they will know what to expect upon arrival.
Our Business Development department has been meeting with clients for potential projects. This department encourages members to attend networking events and build relationships with local businesses to promote the group and its services. Recently, some of our members went to the W Relaunch Event and the W Spring Social to network with local area professionals.
Our Human Resources department is preparing for recruitment. Applications will be available on our website starting June 1, 2019. To be considered, students must have a 3.0 GPA, be willing to commit 5 hours of work per week and enroll in an eight-week course called Data Analytics. This department has updated internal policies regarding absences and evaluations as well.
Our Marketing department is focused on creating a video for recruitment, which will feature members’ experiences and past trips. This department also started both an Instagram account and a LinkedIn profile. Follow us to stay updated on what BIG is up to.
Our Finance department is processing reimbursements for members going on the China trip this summer. The director has been utilizing a more efficient bookkeeping method and is creating a procedure manual so future finance directors are set up for success.
The group has worked hard this academic year and will continue to do so throughout the summer.
